The Whole Child

Our centre embraces a holistic approach in all our programming. Holistic Development emphasises the importance of the physical, emotional and psychological well-being of children. By focusing our attention on the connectedness of a child’s mind, body and spirit we are embracing the real and authentic developmental opportunities regardless of children’s culture, socioeconomic background, disabilities, gender or age.

In other words, our Educators use the holistic approach to connect children’s development with their natural environment and build strong relationships through active learning and social activities.

We ensure there is a good balance of mental, physical and spiritual activities in our programs. Mind-body-spirit practices that teach awareness and mindful movement can reduce stress, offer playful opportunities for growth and learning, and provide a foundation for a healthy life.

Inclusive Practices

We are extremely proud to have been awarded as a "Successful Inclusive Centre" by KU Children's Services. We have been working with KU for over 6 years now to ensure our programs support the inclusion of children with additional needs such as diagnosed disabilities, challenging behaviour or social and emotional difficulties.
